alright, still

“Has your blog turned into a posting place for your drawings? Or are you planning on sharing things about your new life in Atlanta? I want to make sure your ok!”
Well, maybe.
To be honest, I’m not sure what this thing is anymore. It’s true that I’ve turned my attention more toward posting my artwork and haven’t invested much time hammering out witty and bite-sized observations about life in the South lately.
Maybe that speaks to my own burnout with blogging, something I’ve watched a lot of previously entertaining sites go through. I think overall it says something about the new phase of my life, when I’m much more focused on my own work (as opposed to putting out somebody else’s shitty magazine) and not nearly as eager to rush to post about every book, movie or album I consume.
I’ve considered spinning all my artwork off onto a different site, or else making this one all art, all the time, but that just feels like a lot of effort right now.
In the meantime, here are two new drawings, both of them from the Loaf. The above deserves note because my BF actually liked it — such a rare honor these days. The one below made me happy mainly because of the first frame. What’s that old saying about quit while you’re a head?
And to Anonymous: Yes, I am OK. I appreciate you caring — seriously. In fact, I’m awesome. How are you?
