There's a slow but strong tide of my old ATL friends and aquaintances seeping into NYC. This week I had coffee with
Justin, an animator I knew down South who, turns out, moved here late last year. He's also jumpstarting an illustration career, and you can see from his site that he's an immensely talented artist.
I've been less thrilled with own work over the past couple of weeks. The better stuff seems to come in waves. Anyway, here's a look at the most recent doodle.

i'm *not* moving to new york. i told you, i read 'the new yorker' so i don't have to ever actually *go* to new york! that said, how come you keep slipping back into atlanta without calling me? {pout}
Wow, thanks for the props, man. I really appreciate it. It was great grabbing coffee and talking art and illustration. I think you shouldn't be too hard on yourself. Your illo's keep getting sharper and sharper. By the way, I love the dog in the corner of your recent piece. So funny. Nice woodgrain on the floor, too. We gotta' hang and talk trade secrets again. Lemmie know if you're attending any art related events.
